Grants Criteria

The Foundation is dedicated to support and transform disadvantaged and underprivileged youth by providing opportunities to fulfill potential, overcome difficulties, and provide hope throughout life's journey.

The Adam Scott Foundation is a registered Public Trust covered by a DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) Status. This status provides an opportunity for the Adam Scott Foundation to fundraise and distribute grants to registered DGR charities.

The Adam Scott Foundation receives more requests than we can possibly grant, each worthy of support. However, in order to assist us in deciding where funds can be utilized in the most effective manner, we have established a list of minimum requirements which must be met in order for the foundation to consider any requests. Consideration is specifically focused towards underprivileged and/or disadvantaged youth within Australia.

Each application will be evaluated with a specific focus toward:

  • The area of need which the request addresses
  • The procedures in place
  • The service it offers
  • The quality of how the funds will be managed
  • Financial Position and Management practices
  • Fund Raising practices

The Adam Scott Foundation will not consider the following for funding:

  • Organizations which do not have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Status
  • Organizations that discriminate by race, sex or national origin.
  • Individuals
  • Advertising

Funding Guidelines

To apply for a grant please forward an introductory letter and proposal detailing your request.

  • In addition to the above letter and proposal please ensure each application clearly outlines:
  • The amount of funds requested and how these funds will be used
  • Clear description of your organization,  its history, purpose and objectives
  • Specific details of the project which you would like the Adam Scott Foundation to support including the number of people who will benefit
  • Confirmation of your Deductible Gift Recipient status
  • Financial forecasts of the project
